He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilhelmine "Minnie" Hartwig and Henry William Hartwig; and his siblings, William "Bill" Hartwig, Sr., Pauline Haupt, Hazel Stegmann and Esther Cahill. He is also survived by his several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and various other extended family and friends.
