He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Fata and Anna La Fata; his daughter Anna Christine La Fata; his sister Rosalie; and his brothers-in-law, Jasper Passalacqua and Nino Russo.
He is survived by: his wife Frances La Fata (Randazzo); and his siblings, Rina Russo and Carmen La Fata. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
