He is survived by: his children, Renee Peterson (Melvin), Joe Colyer (April), Zack Colyer and Andre Williams; his grandchildren, Jacelyn Colyer, Joe Colyer Jr. (Takeya), Zayvon Knox, Latrell Peterson and Damion Peterson; his great grandchildren, Gabrielle Colyer, Jaheim Colyer, Naomi Colyer and Khalil Colyer; his siblings, Lettie Reed, Eudora Morgan, Rev. Arlanders Colyer (Jimmie) and Phillip Colyer (Belinda); his caregiver Betty Patterson; his nieces and nephews, Carl Richardson, Tony Royal Reed, Dennis Royal Reed, Nicole Colyer, Antionette Banks and Patricia Colyer; and his former wives, Betty Starks and Evelena Colyer.
