She was predeceased by: her siblings, Grover Gillespie Jr., Helen Gardner and Catherine Harrell. She is survived by: her spouse Charlie Lee Foster; her sons, Michael Gillespie Sr. (Katrina Dansberry), Cortez, Edgar and Kevin Martin; and her siblings, Betty Lewis of Fairview Heights, IL, Otis Williams of St. Louis, MO. and Booker Gillespie of Houston, TX. She is also survived by six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at the Emmanuel Church (3315 Summit Ave, East St Louis, IL 62205). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location.
