He was predeceased by: his parents, William Carroll and Celestine Carroll; his siblings, Lt. Roger Francis Carroll, Cornelius (Cathy), James Carroll and Regina (Jean); and his siblings-in-law, Maryanne Beckman (Jerry), Sallie Mertens, Michael Rafferty (Ginny) and Jim Rafferty (Mary).
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Sue Carroll; his children, William Joseph (Melinda Thomas) of Austin, Texas, Mary Burton (William) of St. Louis, Missouri, John Patrick (Teresa Reese) of Austin, Texas, Timothy Gerard (Robyne Arnett) of Round Rock, Texas, Nancy Joyce of St. Louis, Missouri and Gregory Charles (Ginny Graham) of Austin, Texas.; his grandson Michael Carroll (Nicole Robison) of Dallas, Texas; his great grandchildren, Sophia of Austin, Texas, Andrew Pulliam (Elizabeth Romefelt) of Brooklyn, Margaret Pulliam of New York, James Pulliam of San Antonio, Texas, Erin Hergenrother (JD), Lauryn Filip (Kevin), Joseph Carroll of Round Rock, Texas, Sean (Tessa), Tommy (Lauryl Boyd) of Austin, Texas., Jack Mary Kathleen (Jenny Pajares) of Austin, Texas., Matthew of Austin, Texas., Sarah of Austin, Texas., Claire Carroll of Austin, Texas., Brian Burton (Monique Santua) of Austin, Texas. and Anne Pulliam of Austin, Texas.; his niece Mary Carroll Noonan Alonso; his siblings, Celestine Miller and Patrick Michael Carroll of St. Louis; his sisters-in-law, Ginny Bartling and Karen Heath (Pat); Eileen Carroll (Sam Dude), Duffy, Patrick of St. Louis, Missouri, Mary Sue, Frances, Celestine, Paul of Shiner, Texas and Rowan of Austin, Texas.. He is also survived by 6 children, 17 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, their spouses, and large extended family.
