He is survived by: his wife Harriet; his children, David (Sara), Victoria, Vincent (Kristin) and Kathryn; his grandchildren, William, Dana Pilch and Chase Kemp; his sister Barbara; and his siblings-in-law, Joseph Gavin, Mary Frances Hallet and John Patrick Davidson.

As a lifelong educator, Patrick chose to donate his body for continued education.
