He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Jean Cointin; his sons, Jeremy Cointin and Don Cointin (Jen); his grandchildren, Rockne Cointin, Josie Cointin and Katelyn Cointin; and his sister-in-law Sandra Mergenthaler. He is also survived by many other relatives and dear friends.
A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 8:45 AM to 9:00 AM at the John L. Ziegenhein & Sons South City Chapel. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery (2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125).
