It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Raymond Murphy of Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on October 17, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Raymond Murphy and Mary McKeon; his wife Ellen; his children, Mary Murphy, John Murphy, Anne Shaff (Victor) and Elizabeth Mosby (John); his grandchildren, Lauren Baker (Daniel), Nicholas (Karla), Sarah, James Mitchell, Theresa and Margaret Anne; and his great grandchildren, Gray, Hayden, Oliver and Violet.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Monica Church (12136 Olive Blvd, Creve Coeur, MO 63141).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Ready Readers (St. Louis)—a local organization devoted to giving young children books, fostering a love of reading, and building home libraries.
