He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Leachman and Freddie Leachman; and his siblings, Carol Vinson and Robert Vinson. He is survived by: his wife Beverly; his children, Shemeika, Rickey S. Leachman Jr., Jerron Wyatt (Jade), Jermain Gamble and Jeremy Wyatt (Adriadne); his siblings, Julia Hayes (Kerry), Valerie Lee (Percy), Julius Leachman III (Donna), Melvin Leachman and Michael Leachman (Frechell); and his sisters-in-law, Mary Morton, Barbara Gist and Pearlie Bryant. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
