Robert Joseph Hagel Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 30, 2025, at the age of 90, Robert Joseph Hagel of Saint Louis, Missouri, born in Evansville, Indiana passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert Joseph Hagel to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hagel and Irene Hagel; his brother John Hagel; his daughters, Jona Knickman, Maria Hagel and Jane McCarthy; and his grandson Scott Knickman.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean Hagel; and his sons, Robert and Matthew. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Alphonsus Liguori Roman Catholic Church (1870 W Oak St, Zionsville, IN 46077). A Mass will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mater Dei High School, 1300 Harmony Way, Evansville, IN 47720, in honor of Robert's lifelong connection to his alma mater and his commitment to education and community.
