He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Hirsch and Alfred Hirsch; his brother James Hirsch (Jean); and his stepsons, Christopher and Ryan Tisone.

He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Larry, Gary Hirsch and Katie Hartwig (John) of St. Louis, Missouri; and his sister Rita Kubalewski (James) of Joliet, Illinois..
