He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Grace (Thompson) and Charles King Pennington; his former wife Margaret Wilson; and his sister Patricia Bamforth (Pennington). He is survived by: his brother Charles K. Pennington, Jr. of Oregon; his nieces and nephews, Christopher K. Pennington of Oregon, Jeanne L. Bamforth of Maine, Charles K. Pennington III of Arizona and Margaret B. Adam of England; and his cousin Nancy Thompson of Kirkwood.
Even as Parkinson's Disease made life more difficult, Roy continued to play the piano for those around him, right up to the days before he died.
