He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Puent and Julia Puent; and his siblings, Betty Steinhoff (Don), Gerry Schrader (Don), Joe Puent, Edna Lohmeyer (Allen) and Dottie Spahr (Bernie).
He is survived by: his wife Judy Puent; his children, Laura Reeves, Christine Sanchez (Carlos), Karen McCann (Mike), Eric Puent (Gari) and Julie Behrman (Chuck); his sister Barb Hawley; his grandchildren, Brittany Buhlinger (Nick), Courtney Sanchez, Zachary Sanchez, Alexi Sanchez, Nikki Luetkemeyer (Tyler), Garet McCann (Katlyn), Brittany Williams (Dewayne), Kyle Puent (Weronika), Dalton Puent, Mason Puent (Cierra), Ariel Puent (Noah), Aiden Behrman and Amelia Behrman; and his great grandchildren, Heinrich, Asta, Jaidyn, Kaidence, Kennon, Klay, Ambrose, Avenley, Grayson and Lincoln. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, their extended families and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 at 8:00 AM at the Shepard Funeral Chapel (9255 Natural Bridge Rd, St. Louis, MO 63134). A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A procession will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery (2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125).
