He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Soledad B. Avery; his children, Lisa Parkes (Terrance), Maila Avery and James Erwin Avery (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Gavin, Hana, Eli, Eva and Aubrianna; and his sisters, Frances Chandler (Ron) and Margaret Leonard (Larry).
