He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Kristi; his daughters, Kate Karpinski (Max Banerjee) and Erica Karpinski; his grandson James Banerjee; and his children, Figaro, Francesca and Freddy.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arbor Day Foundation or the APA.
