He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby and Harrison. He is survived by: his son Steven; his daughter-in-law Carolyn; his grandchildren, Christina, Kevin and Amy; his sister Judy Pedulla; his siblings-in-law, Marilyn DeDenko, Dmitri and Bill Mahaffey; and his siblings, Carol and Tim.
In their eighties, Marti and eventually Wendell were struck with Alzheimer's disease. Even through his own dementia he cared for Marti with love and tenderness until her death in 2024, and retained a sunny and cheerful outlook until Alzheimer's took him as well.
