WILLIE LEE ASHLEY Obituary

WILLIE L. ASHLEY was born on August 10, 1939 to Katie Paul and Willie Ashley, in Gould, Arkansas. Willie moved his mom and siblings to St. Louis, Mo in 1954. He was preceded by his siblings: Anna L. Ashley Oscie B. Harvey, Henry Cooper, Levi Ashley and daughter Andrea Tobias.
Willie accepted Jesus Christ later in life at Dream Center Church. He had only an 8th grade education, since he needed to help to support his family. He was a hard worker and a very knowledgeable man during his life. He meant Lillian in 1974 and married her they were together ever since.
Willie loved the Blue's, he performed on stage with Howling Wolf, playing his Harmonica, "what a time"
Willie retired from Cooper Wagner in 2014, he worked in the Foundry, then worked his way up to Leadman in cutting brakes, they sent him to Rankin School to read blueprints, with his 8th grade education, he did master blueprint reading he excelled above and beyond in his field the brakes had to be measured and precise cut, he did it.
Willie was such a good man to all who came in contact with him, he did electrical work, house repairs, he worked on cars, whatever you needed he was just that good at fixing everything.
