With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Willie James Wilder (Saint Louis, Missouri), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 14, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Wilder and Eva Mae Watkins; and his sisters, Joyce Pickens-Moore, Gloria Smith, Yvonne Todd, Jerry Evans and Hazel Wilder.
He is survived by: his daughter Takisha Creswell; his grandchildren, Erion Creswell, Tyasia Creswell, Aniyah Ming and Richard Ming; his great grandchild Kevin Miller Jr.; his siblings, Melvin Jackson, Johnny Wilder, Byron Wilder, Dave Wilder, Eddardo Wilder, Larry Wilder, Gloria Wilder, Elma Wilder, Juliette Wilder, Brenette Wilder and Rita Wilder; and his girlfriend Joann Smith. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Gateway Funeral Home. A burial was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery (2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125).
