He was predeceased by: his parents, Irma Kwarta and Roger Kwarta; his grandmother Sarah Jane Catt Potter; his foster parents, Wanda Shelor and David "Irv" Shelor; his cousin Catt; and his siblings-in-law, Jennifer Beglin, Martin "Marty B" Beglin and Blake Kaelin.
He is survived by: his wife Mary G. Kwarta; his children, Kipp Kwarta, Jared Kwarta (Karen), Nathan Kwarta (Allison), Michelle DuPont (Jason) and Nicole "Nikki" Raithel (Seth); his grandchildren, Noah Kwarta, Joel Kwarta, Evan Kwarta, Elise DuPont, Marie DuPont, Eleanor Raithel and Rosemary Raithel; his siblings, Kim Kwarta, Tanys Evangelisti (Tom) and Felicia Kwarta; and his foster sister Melissa Shelor-Rhoades (Mark Sr.).
