He was predeceased by: his parents, William Spears and Viola Spears; his brother William Spears, Jr. of Prospect Heights, Illinois; and his former wife Carla Brooks Spears of Jonesboro, Arkansas.. He is survived by: his wife Gay of O'Fallon, Missouri; his children, Jared B. Spears (Mikhelle) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Marsha Tidwell (Randal) of Brookland, Arkansas and Katherine Leach (Samuel) of St. Charles, Missouri; his granddaughters, Amanda Tidwell (Daniel Stevens), Cynthia Tidwell Smith (Justin), Celine Spears and Emma Spears; and his great grandchildren, Chase Smith, Brooklynn Stevens and Aaron Stevens.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Hope Presbyterian Church (1580 Kisker Rd, St Peters, MO 63304). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
