He was predeceased by: his parents, John David Rayner, Sr. and Betty Jean Rayner; his sisters, Lola Rayner and Cynthia Peters; and his grandchild Kaimani.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Rayner; his children, Amanda Rayner, Jennifer Rayner, Christopher Jaycox (Adam), Matthew Schellingerhout (Sarah) and John Rayner, III; his grandchildren, Victoria, Ronnie Kate, Gehrig, Palmer and Kainoa; and his brothers-in-law, Joe Peters and David Burg (Cindy).

Memorial donations are appreciated to the American Cancer Society in honor of John.
