He was predeceased by: his wife Deborah Shaffar; his parents, Juanita B. Shaffar and George H. Shaffar; his son Bradley Eugene Marler; and his sister Margie Ireton.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Shaffar (Molly), Sheridan Shaffar, Susie Lewis (Jason), Todd Marler and Karey Hennen (Mike); his grandchildren, Cody Horack (Ashley), Blake Shaffar, Justine Bruening (Kyle), Christian Lewis (Alex), Chandler Lewis, Chloe Lewis, Dalton Scott (Avrie), Chuckie Lewis, Kevin Marler, Cassie, Melanie Behlmann (Zac), April Hennen, Ethan Wagman and Emma Wagman; his great grandchildren, Jace Lewis, Margo Bruening, Natalie Behlmann, Michael Behlmann and Barrett Wagman; his brother-in-law Leon Ireton; his siblings, Gordon Shaffar (Brenda Kay) and Brenda Follin (late Fred); and his close friend Troy-Boy. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
