He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Whalen and Essie Whalen; and his siblings, Ernest James, Betty June, William Robert, Donald Eugene and Kenneth Allen.
He is survived by: his daughters, Shawndreale Bartel (Keith) of O'Fallon, MO and Casawndreale Wohler (Travis) of Linn, KS; and his grandchildren, Rachel Bartel, Clarice Bartel, Abrianna Gallmon and Mathew Gargus.
