He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Tate, Jr. and Margaret Tate; his wife Mary Tate; his sister Mary Ellen Moser (Ray); and his grandmother Nina Schlueter.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cheryl Corwin (Steven) and Michelle Dorsey (Thomas); his brother Harry Tate III (Gail); his grandchildren, Courtney Dowdall (Ryan Klotz), Aaron Dowdall (Libby), Ryan Kelley and Brett Kelley (Susan); his great grandchildren, Birdie Kelley and Aliza Dowdall; and the mother of his children Barbara Bland. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
