With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Velma Louise Walkmaster of Saint Peters, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 24, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Velma may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.

She was predeceased by: her husband Bruce A. Walkmaster; her parents, Louella Shum and Lloyd E. Shum; and her sister Betty Shum. She is survived by: her children, Carl Walkmaster (Kris), Carolyn Jean Miller (Brian) of Olathe and Sandra Lynn Bullock (Mark) of Pennsylvania; and her siblings, Dorothy Kraemer (Ray) and Donald Shum (Sherry).

Memorials may be made in Velma's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
