He is survived by: his wife Annetta Gerdel; his sons, William "Bill" Charles Gerdel, Jr. and James "Jimmy" Gerdel (Candace Grover); his grandchildren, Jennifer Gerdel, Will Gerdel (Allissa) and Sophia Gerdel; and his sister Shirley Bramblett (late Melvin). He is also survived by other family members and friends.
