James Holst Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Holst (Sainte Genevieve, Missouri), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 21, 2025 at the age of 77. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Holst to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary "Patsy" Holst and Harley W. Holst; and his sister Barbara Fischer. He is survived by: his children, Eric Holst, Julie Flieg (Scott), Jessica Weitzel (Jesse) and Michelle Bader (Matt); his siblings, Robert Holst (Carol), Daniel Holst (Dorothy) and Charlene Wilson (Frank); his grandchildren, Madelyn, Emily, Josef, Taylen, Maysie, Liam, Knox and Gatlen; and the mother of his children Sandra Holst.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Basler Funeral Home (685 Center Dr, Ste. Genevieve, MO 63670). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Concord Cemetery - Bloomsdale.
Memorials can be made to Missouri Veterans Home Foundation in Cape Girardeau.
