He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Leo Smith and Muriel Smith (McDaniel); and his siblings, Frank Smith, Darlene Smith, Enola Moody, Melba Faye Smith and Alicia Fisher.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sonja DeGoria (Rob) and Kara Smith (Bill); the mother of his children Becky Smith (Coleman); his brothers, Walter Eldon Smith (JoAnn) and Tom Smith (Sharon); and his grandchildren, Mason and Sienna. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Basler Funeral Home (685 Center Dr, Ste. Genevieve, MO 63670). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Crestlawn Cemetery (851 Rozier St, Ste. Genevieve, MO 63670).
Memorials can be made to Alzheimer's Association or Cornerstone Hospice Center.
