He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry James Thilking Sr. and Violet Hatfield (Caugh); his son Fred Thilking; his brother Henry "Hank" James Thilking Jr.; and his brother-in-law Ronnie Gibson.
He is survived by: his wife Francis "Frannie" Thilking (Kennedy); his daughters, Laura Resinger (Dean) of Farmington, Barbie Minks (Harley Fenwick) of Farmington and Misty Varnell of Elk City, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Les Thilking, Steve Minks III (Brooke), Ashley Vinson (George), Stephanie Dunn (Caleb), Jathan Thilking, Brileigh Francis (Jacob) and Shane Minks; his great grandchildren, Lucy, Bane, George, Lilah, Gracie, Korbyn and Damon; and his sister Elaine Gibson of Bloomsdale. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
