She was predeceased by: her parents, George McCarter and Fannie McCarter (Brooks); her siblings, Wilbur McCarter, Vernon McCarter and June Black; and the father of her children Everett Royal Taylor.

She is survived by: her children, David Taylor, Dennis Taylor and Diane Taylor-Jennings; and her brothers, Albert McCarter and Bill McCarter. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
