It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christopher Monroe Payne of Salem, Missouri, who passed away on January 24, 2025, at the age of 50, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brother Richard "Wayne" Payne; his stepmother Donna Payne; his niece Tanya Hawk; and his grandparents, Gilbert, Alma Shaw, Richard and Marie Payne.

He is survived by: his parents, Beulah M. Bond of Salem, MO and Johnny W. Payne, Sr. of Columbus, TX; his children, Brendan and Hailey; his brothers, Johnny Jr. (Angie Payne) and Scotty Payne (Michelle Franklin) of St. Charles, MO; his stepsister Ladonna Chester of Columbus, TX; and his sister-in-law Leslie Pender (Rick) of St. Charles, MO. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, adoptive family members, and many friends.

Memorial Donations may be made in memory of Chris Payne to Timber Church or Gladden Empire Cemetery and left with Wilson Mortuary.
