He was predeceased by : his parents, LeeRoy Taggart and Violet Taggart (Brooks); his wife Carol; his sister Helen James; and his son James Michael Taggart.
He is survived by : his children, Janet Gittemeier (Tim) of Salem, Julie Jobes (Daniel) of Harrisonville and Gary Taggart of Holts Summit; his brother Fred Taggart (Mary) of Jefferson City; his grandchildren, Shannon Lee Baer, Frank Forrest, Chea Manley, Jeffrey Taggart and Hannah Taggart; and his great grandchildren, Haylie Forrest, Matthew Manley, Hollis Baer and Aubrey Forrest. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
