He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Flatt and Celia Flatt (Matlock); his grandfather Jim; his wife Joan Flatt; and his siblings, Irene, Henry, Andrew, Charles, Bennett, Billy Lea and Landon.
He is survived by: his children, Janelle Flatt (David) of Salem, MO, Alecia Gunter (Bob) of Rolla, MO, Trevor King (Donna) of Rolla, MO and Joyelle Madry (Roger) of Troy, MO. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; as well as several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Wilson Mortuary - Salem (1000 Scenic Rivers Blvd, Salem, MO 65560). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Jim Flatt to the Mt. Hermon Cemetery and left with Wilson Mortaury.
