She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Grogan and Jewell Grogan (Happel); her sister Terry; and her aunt Marie Happel. She is survived by: her husband Jimmy Schafer of Salem, MO; her children, Courtni Clark of Springfield, MO, Nathan Burton of Salem, MO, Lexi Jo Burton of Salem, MO, Kyle Schafer (Mary Jane) of Salem, MO, Taala Schafer of Salem, MO, Emily Schafer of Salem, MO and Ethany Schafer of Salem, MO; her grandchildren, Daycen and Kaelynn; her sister Laura Acord (Walter) of Salem, MO; and her parents-in-law, Roger and Patty Schafer of Salem, MO. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Wilson Mortuary - Salem (1000 Scenic Rivers Blvd, Salem, MO 65560). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Maria Schafer to Wilson Mortuary to help with final expenses.
