With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Richard Allen Purcell Sr. of Salem, Missouri, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Richard left this world on December 6, 2025 at the age of 77, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Melissa Purcell; his parents, Vancil Purcell and Beulah Purcell (Steelman); his siblings, Clarence Purcell and Dephine Purcell; his grandson Travis Watson Jr.; and his great grandchild Lyla Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Sherri Reichard (Bobby Jo) of Tennessee, Lisa Landrigan (Amy) of Ozark, MO, Rick Purcell (Rachel) of Salem, MO, Amy Rolen (Tim) of Eminence, MO and Sonya Null (Jeff) of Lebanon, MO. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Wilson Mortuary - Salem (1000 Scenic Rivers Blvd, Salem, MO 65560). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Richard Purcell to Akers Cemetery and left with Wilson Mortuary.
