He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Akers and Helen Akers; and his siblings, Paul Akers, Norma Jean and Wayne Akers.
He is survived by: his children, Clancey Akers (Dominic Knott) and Jeremiah Akers (Maddie) of Mountain Home, AR; and his grandchildren, Kai Akers, Emma Akers and Issac Akers. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
