With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lorene Meissen of Salisbury, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 10, 2025 at the age of 102. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lorene Meissen to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry H. Henke and Anna Henke (Wienhaus); her husband William Joseph Meissen; her siblings, Leonard Henke (Regina), Wilfred Henke, Marvin Henke (Delma), Harold Henke and Bernilda Fessler (Leonard); her brother-in-law Robert Linneman; and her sons-in-law, John Kumpelman and John Stundebeck.
She is survived by: her children, Edward Meissen (Emelia) of Salisbury, MO, Raymond Meissen of Salisbury, MO, Ralph Meissen (Shelley) of Salisbury, MO, Leroy Meissen (Becky) of Sturgeon, MO, Marjorie Krumpelman of Marceline, MO, Carolyn Stundebeck of Salisbury, MO, Judy Fuemmeler (Steve) of Cedar Rapids, IA and Betty Arp (Steve) of Indian Grove, MO; her siblings, Fred Henke (Pat) of Salisbury, MO and Norma Lou Linneman of Salisbury, MO; and her sisters-in-law, Jean Henke of Salisbury and Helen Henke of Fayette. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, two step grandchildren, 66 great grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Summerville Funeral Home (601 US-24, Salisbury, MO 65281). Visitation was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the Summerville Funeral Home - Salisbury (601 US-24, Salisbury, MO 65281). A rosary was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church - Salisbury (301 W Williams St, Salisbury, MO 65281).
Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph Church Restoration Fund.
