He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Calvin and Tressa Sweeney (Munsell); his wife Norma Gebhardt of Brunswick; his grandson Andrew Schreiber; his brother William Sweeney; his niece Carole Bultman; and his sister-in-law Doris Mae.
He is survived by: his daughter Sherry Schreiber (Jack) of St. Louis, MO; his grandson John Jr. Schreiber (Chelsea); his great grandchildren, Jackson and Juno; his stepson Jaime Gebhardt; his nephew Bill Sweeney, Jr.; and his sister-in-law Mardella Sweeney.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Salisbury First Christian Church (118 E 3rd St, Salisbury, MO 65281). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church or the Chariton County Historical Society & Museum.
