He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Proffit and Imo Todd Proffit; his siblings, Bob Proffit, Skeeter Proffit and Betty Nafzinger; his nephews, Todd and Jamie Proffit; and his pet Piper.
He is survived by: his wife Roxanne Proffit; his children, Tara Horn (Jason) and Ryan Proffit (Jessica); his grandchildren, Olivia Horn, Hayden Horn, Jolie Proffit, Clara Proffit and Ethan Proffit; and his siblings, Donna Durham (Donnie), Barb Newberg, Linda Catron (Rick) and Herbie Proffit.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel (307 S 6th St, Savannah, MO 64485). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at the Fillmore Cemetery.
The family requested memorial donations to the Dick Munkres American Legion Post 287.
