He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Soetaert and Edna Myrl Soetaert. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Soetaert (Johnson); his daughters, Susan Brittain (Cody), Victoria Mueller (Kane) and Sarah Jimenez (Marco); his grandchildren, Kale (Raegan), Austin (Audrey), Bryce, Cassidy (Blake), Echo, Hallie and Nolan; his great grandchild Kase; and his brother Earl. He is also survived by extended family; and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel (307 S 6th St, Savannah, MO 64485). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 6:30 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at the American Legion Post 287 (501 E Price Ave, Savannah, MO 64485).
The family has requested memorial donations to MORLCA Auxiliary Scholarship (Missouri Rural Letter Carrier Association) or Missouri Armed Forces Veteran's Club Scholarship in Edward's memory.
