He was predeceased by: his parents, Ananias Heckman and Stella Heckman (DeWeese); his wife Barbara A. Dellinger; his granddaughter Rebecca Lynn Heckman; and his siblings, Lloyd Heckman, Ray Heckman, Marion Heckman, Leola Lightle, Beulah Ferguson, Frances Maxwell and Joan Hadorn.
He is survived by: his children, Sean Heckman (Sarah) and Sheila Henderson (Troy); his grandchildren, Morgan Nicole Heckman (Luke Hicks), Maren Rene Heckman and Dylan Wayne Ford (Bailey); and his brothers, Gerald Heckman (Linda) and Wilbert Heckman (Myrna). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the veterans charity of the donor's choice.
