He is survived by: his children, Kim Welch (Donnie) of Oregon, Missouri, Diana Baker of Kansas City, Missouri, John Dougherty of Kansas City, Missouri and Robin Holmes (Jerry) of Graham, Missouri.; and his grandchildren, Shannon Welch (Loretta), Bryan Welch (Angie), Dana Scaggs (David), Rachel Gillenwater (Curt), Mindy Skidmore (Tim), Brandon Hullinger, Chasidy Bushy (Shaye), Amber Rothermel (Matt), Katie Fain, Jason Dougherty, Jacob Holmes (Kaitlynn), Jared Holmes (Holly), Jenny Lance (Andrew), Julie Eschenbach (Stephen), Janah Brown (Michael), Jodi Holmes and Jaylee McGinness (Jacob).
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel (307 S 6th St, Savannah, MO 64485). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at the Savanah Cemetery (308 West Benton, Savannah, MO 64485).
