He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Truman and Evelyn Lucile Schildknecht (Adams); his former spouse Shirley Lou Smith; his spouse Jean Smith; and his son Shannon Schildknecht.
He is survived by: his children, John Randall Schildknecht (Brenda) of St. Joseph, Sheila Thorburn (Chuck) of Savannah, Mark Schildknecht (Karen) of Savannah and Kelli Latham (Allen) of Kansas City, KS; his grandchildren, Rayane Cook (Max), Devin Utz (Travis), Nicole Bennett, Aaron Schildknecht (Misty), Kaitlyn Hofmeister (Andrew), Taylor Glass (James) and Austin Latham; his great grandchildren, Gavin, Brooklyn, Elliott, Lila, Kodi, Levi, Isaac and Theo; his great great grandchild Londyn; and his sister Joyce McDonald of St. Charles, MO..
