He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren A. Bower and Lois L. Bower (Howell); his son Joseph W. Bower Jr.; his great grandchild Madison Briner; and his brother Gary Nicholas.

He is survived by: his wife Cecelia Bower of Savannah; his daughter Lisa Wright (Jamie) of Savannah; his grandchildren, Marisa Bower, Hannah Glascock, Zechariah Bower and Jordan Bower-Stewart; his great grandchildren, Abigail, Blaze, Hattie, Zafrina, Octavia, Charlee-Ann and Furyan; and his sister Andrea Jones (Randy) of Ft Worth, TX.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home (1010 S US Hwy 71, Savannah, MO 64485).
