She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfon Sauter and Mabel Sauter (Peters); her husband Orley Newkirk; and her son Rickey Newkirk. She is survived by: her daughters, Connie Myers (Ted), Marilyn Wehrli (Tim), Jane McClurg (Keith) and Barbara Dunbar; and her sisters, Dora Ewart and Betty Smith. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; two honorary grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; six honorary great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
