It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Almeda J. Menefee of Sedalia, Missouri, who passed away on October 5, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Almeda has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Middleton and Ilene Middleton; her husband Anthony J. "Tony" Menefee; and her son Daniel Menefee. She is survived by: her children, Steven Menefee of Sunrise Beach, Missouri and Tina Menefee of Nags Head; and her siblings, Richard Middleton of Fort Mill, Lynn Middleton of Sedalia, Alice Morrison of Sedalia, Monica Paull of Sedalia and Rowena Nickell of Sedalia. She is also survived by five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Chapel (300 S Moniteau Ave, Sedalia, MO 65301). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at the Calvary Cemetery (701 N Engineer Ave, Sedalia, MO 65301).
