She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Ernest and Essie Pearl Gerster (Hall); her husband Robert Browneller Cain; and her sisters, Lyda Taggart and Betty Murray.
She is survived by: her children, Lu Ann McConnell (George) of Joplin, Steve Cain (Dee) of Columbia and Dr. Ruth Cain of Overland Park, KS; her grandchildren, Rick McConnell (Nancy) of Parkville, Dr. Matthew Cain (Dawn Wendell) of Arlington, MA, Mallory Cain (Mike Nuttall) of San Francisco, CA and Mackenzie Shepherd (Aaron) of Columbia; and her great grandchildren, Ian, Ewan McConnell, Theodore, Henry Cain and Cain Shepherd.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the SFCC Foundation Anna Mae Cain Music Scholarship Fund or the Sedalia School District Foundation in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
