She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur I. Chancellor and Maud Chancellor (Dickerson); her husband Homer W. DeWitt; and her siblings, A. I. Chancellor and Betty Venable.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Skutnick (Eddie) of Smithton and John W. DeWitt (Jenifer); her grandchildren, Felicia Brown, Amber Fillicetti, Jacob DeWitt and Joseph DeWitt; and her great grandchildren, John Brown, Luke Brown, Jesse Brown, Nevaeh Brown, John Fillicetti and Myles Fillicetti.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Heckart Funeral Home & Cremation Services (903 S Ohio Ave, Sedalia, MO 65301). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Crown Hill Cemetery (701 N Engineer Ave, Sedalia, MO 65301).
Memorial contributions are suggested to Children's Mercy Hospital, in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
