He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Ervin and Doris Emma Newton (Gensler); his wife Lillian Mae Monsees; and his brother Thomas H. C. "Peachie" Newton. He is survived by: his children, Thomas Newton (Helen) of Blackwater, Cindy Newton of Boonville, Mae Bruce (Charlie) of Jefferson City and Kay Newton of Sedalia; his grandchildren, Christopher Newton, Katie Adcock, Jesse Zuniga, Xavier Zuniga, Mindy Hueste and Monique Caldwell; and his great grandchildren, Joclyne Newton, Michele Newton, Emily Kammerich, Noah Kammerich, Mattie Mae Adcock, Mia Zuniga, Max Zuniga, Samantha Laughlin and Nolan Laughlin.
