Darrell Sypes Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on January 24, 2023, at the age of 64, Darrell Sypes of Sedalia, Missouri, born in Windsor, Missouri passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Darrell Sypes to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Alfred Sypes and Carrie Louise Sypes (Goodwin); his wife Marilyn Viola Hogan; his grandparents, Carl, Esther Sypes, Winifred and Susie Goodwin; his aunts and uncles, Robert (Louvella Caldwell), Stoestle (Josephine Avery), Chong Ae Kim Goodwin, Lloyd Goodwin, Ernest (Mary Ruth Collins) and Irma Helen Harris; and his cousins, Michael Avery, Lisa Caldwell, Marilyn Marshall, Linda Rucker, Helen Harris and Aaron Goodwin.

He is survived by: his sister Ruth Sypes; his uncle William "Lee" Goodwin (Georgia); and his cousins, Robert Caldwell, Alma Whitney, Kon Soo Goodwin, Sam Goodwin, Betty Outlaw, Shon Goodwin, Grace Shockley, Patricia Cobb, Felton Avery, Larry Avery, John Avery, David Avery, Dale Avery, Ernest Collins, Ruth Rusk, Laura Collins, Brenda Morris, Evelyn Taylor, William Collins and Roger Collins.

A memorial fund has been established in Darrell's memory to help with funeral expenses and contribute to the sports programs in the Smithton and Windsor communities (checks may be made payable to Darrell Sypes Memorial) in care of the funeral home.
